I have been in the field since 2008 and have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly population. I love working with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. but my specialty is working with those who have dealt with significant amounts of trauma. I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method. I am also an LGBTQ+ advocate and supporter. I look forward to working with you in your quest towards a better you.
I am certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method. This means that I am able to integrate yoga into therapy sessions with the idea that yoga will help you to calm your mind and regulate your physical responses and, thus, your emotions. You’ll learn to recognize and tolerate physical sensations and thereby regain a feeling of safety in your body.
I offer appointments via phone and/or video sessions for those busy with work, school & family responsibilities. That being said, I understand that every minute counts. The time it would take you to get to counseling is time you could be using for more important things. Why not save that time and utilize my services as your therapist via phone/video?
